Tina Turner sang and danced as if she was 30 years old. I know of people who are 30 years old who can’t move like she does at 68. I had the opportunity to see Tina in concert a few weeks ago with Scott (who is Tina’s number one fan) at the Target center in Minneapolis. It was a great concert, it was nothing like her Barcelona concert in 1990 but it was nothing I’d seen before. Tina’s pipes are still in great condition, she still masters all her greatest hits.

She is an icon in the music industry for her legendary legs and crazy dancing in heels. She still has the legs, and still dances with heels on but now she is 68. She defies all the known characteristics of a 68 year old women.

She made me think of society’s obsession with staying young and how she has aged gracefully and still rocks in old age. I want to be just like that when I get to my golden years.
